I agree with this but as someone who has read many resumes and still do when
hiring. I suggest three things to all my blind friends.
First sure use things like doc book, SGML, HTML, Mark down or what ever flavor
you are using at the moment.
Second convert it to Docx and review it. Learn to use Word if you want to make
good stuff. I got a resume just recently that had bad grammar and spelling and
just bad alignment. That will kill you. and word can fix that but the markup
languages cannot.
Finally. If you have the money and have all your information together spend
like $300 on a resume writing service. They take your information and interview
you for 4 to 8 hours online and on phone. Then they take an write you a resume
that fits the fields you want to work in.
Once you get them to do that you can use what they did as templates as well. I
will never write another resume again. My sighted younger brother paid $375
got 4 resumes and went from making $110 to now he is a VP of a fortune 700
company. I am not saying you will get the same result but you will learn a lot
and it is money well spent.

Not necessarily the best answer, but, I build mine using HTML, and then open
the file in something like word or libre office and save it as a word document
- I am fully comfortable with style-sheeting and markup in HTML, which is why
this suits me.
Stay well

This is not directly related to programming but after all, you should
be able to craft a good resume to be able to find your next opportunities.
I'm looking for an accessible resume builder app that creates a
beautiful resume that is compatible with ATS(Applicant Tracking Systems).
Linkedin resume builder is ok, but it is not customizable.
I tried building using Word, but editing them especially if I used
some template is a little bit hard.
Best.
