[program-l] Re: Accessible Development Environments on Linux

I use gcc or did when I had a linux VPS. I find it a lot easier to do
programming stuff in c and c++ on unix rather than windows. That's for
compiling anyway,  but for writing the code I just use insert text editor
here.

Oh, got it that worked perfectly. Thank you.

You shouldn't have to pass that flag with insiders version. However, you

a
website, use ORCA+A to turn on and off browse mode.

That did it, thank you very much. I was able to get in and manually turn
on
accessibility mode in settings so I don't have to pass that flag every
time.
One thing that I noticed is that you cannot use your arrow keys to
navigate
through the window, you can only use tab, is this just a quark of Orca?

Hi,

To get an accessible VSCode interface with Orca, you have to pass a
command line option. This is necessary since Linux doesn’t (currently)
have a standard mechanism for programs to check whether an
accessibility service is running. Launch VSCode like so, from the run
dialog:

vscode --force-renderer-accessibility

Hi, so I have never done much programming on linux except using nano
and jedit. Does anyone have suggestions for accessible development
environments on linux. I just tried VS code and found that it did not
respond at all with Orca.

I am running Kali Linux with the Gnome desktop. I am also using Voxin
for Orca.

Thanks,
