Sena and Suzy: ...as for the red x issue, I have had some rather talented scripters looking at this particular aspect and after much deliberation it still remains an issue. ...as for errors in the syntax, simply saving your project in the normal fashion will check the syntax. In a J2E perspective, alt + V + P will take you to the Problems pane where you are given a tree view of sorts and if you expand same you are presented with a list of errors. Merely selecting the issue of concern and hitting enter on it, will in turn place you / your cursor on the line and or the syntax in question. This type of validation is a bit more than just checking for misspelled words. If you are working on an enterprise project, there is always the choice of printing to a log. You could also check the status bar by hitting jawsKey+pageDown. Also, whenever you want you can quickly hit alt+shift+q, followed by x for the problems tab, and then hit escape to return to where you were. Also, is there any way to immediately know if a mistake has been made? When I wanted to compile something in my little testing area it was easy, but now in my large environment making a build doesn't seem to work out so well. Maybe and probably I am missing something. It would be so nice to know when a red "X" suddenly shows up on the screen. Susie
