[powerdot] MiK Tex 2.8 first slide problem

Hello,
I have a remark.
I've been happily using Powerdot for several years. Now I installed
MiKTeX 2.8 and I get an empty first white slide with the word preamble
in the bottom left corner. My presentation starts from the second
slide and it's OK. I tried powerdot 1.4, but it did not help. No
warnings. Since I had other problems with 2.8, I downgraded to 2.7 and
everything is running smoothly.
