It was late and I decide to take one more look at a few things online. I went to Fastcompany.com, a site where I occasionally find something interesting. I scroll down through the home page when I see this photo of mine below. I did a double take. I took the photo with my phone while waiting for a meeting in a classroom at UPS in Tacoma. It was an iconic classroom, with a real blackboard and wooden desks. I later added the ipad just for fun. The image appears on my website embedded in a Flash movie slideshow (Slideshow Pro). I looked more closely at the full article and saw that the photo was credited to Flickr user: The Greater Tacoma Community Foundation.<https://www.flickr.com/photos/bethespark/7094916925/> I was nominated for an local art award by the Foundation a few years back and they posted samples of my work on Flickr I had given them. The Foundation slapped a CC "Attribution Share A Like" license on the photo. I always use a copyright notice when posting on Flickr or the like but not on my website. When I gave them to the Foundation for their use I didn't include the notice. Maybe next time I will. Not worth doing anything about but an interesting lesson in the many ways one can innocently and with the best intent "give away your art" only to find it used without true and rightful attribution later. http://goo.gl/ftZtO5 Oh well...nice to see that someone thought it interesting!
