Love the title of the collection. Wasn’t I in the last title concept, too?

Subject: [poetpests] Summary of meeting
Hello PPs
Thanks for the raucous meeting last night. Doesn't match meeting up with you in
the pub, but it's the next best thing at the moment.
In response to David's and Heather's emails:
1. Muting Heather Taylor Johnson is going to be the title of my first
collection. You were delightfully anarchic last night Heather, but I muted
various people at various times if there was some background noise coming
through their mic, like paper rustling, or joint rolling or the like. Sorry if
I left you on mute longer than needed.
2. "Jean Harley" as a 6 part TV series! - brilliant. Congratulations. Who do
you fancy in the lead roles, and will you, a la Hitchcock, make a cameo
appearance, maybe as a passing cyclist? Can't wait to see my name in the end
credits ;-)
3. Re David's question about this group. I think things stayed pretty much as
discussed before you left. Fortnightly cycle - Take it in turns to give prompt,
two weeks to respond, a week to give feedback. Rach mentioned that she had
discussed the possibility of Mike Ladd joining. I mentioned possibly inviting
Krishan Persaud (the guy who started Poetica). Alison is concentrating on prose
this year. Lou is concentrating on editing previous work and doesn't want to
rejoin. Heard nothing from Kerryn. Of the others you mentioned I only spoke to
Bronwyn about it in the past and she is up to her neck in uni work. So that
makes a group of between 7 and 9 I think. My feeling is that 10 is the maximum
practicable. Heather was worried about it getting bigger than it currently is.
Some people told me they found giving feedback for even that many too much. So
I'd not be keen on expanding it beyond it's current size. Perhaps a second
group ?
4. On the side issue of the "1st Draft" group - I don't know. Personally I
feel it fell apart because of lack of commitment - I think it went over 6
months without meeting because of lack of interest. But I'm ok with giving it
one more try as per Rach's plan when we are able to meet face to face again.
If I've misinterpreted any of the discussion feel free to correct me,
And thanks for the prompt Jen. That looks interesting. I think I'll get
something out of it. Also good to see Julie and a glass of wine in close
proximity again.
Mike
