Yeah, Doom III looks great! I especially like the stuff about every pixel having a shader so that they can make it ultra-realistic. Dave Moeller (Cannon Fodder) has already purchased an ATI Radeon 9000 series card (the DirectX 8.1 version I think). So maybe he can drag his ass away from Nancy as well as his Gamecube so that we can all get together for some fragging. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Ficco, Mathew A." <ficco@xxxxxxx> To: <pittsburghquake@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Monday, August 26, 2002 8:54 AM Subject: [pittsburghquake] Re: Unreal Tournament 2003 > > I read that that new Unreal is awesome. > > I'm still waiting for DOOM III. I just read an article about it and they said that all the original monsters are back plus a lot of new ones! That's the game that will probably make me upgrade my PC... or get divorced... one of the 2. > > I cut my death in first-person-shoot-em-up on DOOM, so this is like my mid-game-life-crisis game! > > Here's a write-up from GameSpot: > http://gamespot.com/gamespot/filters/products/0,11114,469881,00.html > > Matt > > -----Original Message----- > From: Agostoni, Jason D. I plan on "obtaining" a copy as soon as I can. I think the DEMO version should be out any day now. It will be interesting to see if I need to buck-up for a better video card for this one. > > J > > ====================== > Jason D.
