Moin moin,

I believe to have fixed bug id 621. Conntest-client-hip should not have any problems with udp anymore. This bug was a really nasty one to fix.

Hi,

it might be also time to merge to synchronize midauth branch with userspace. It seems to miss 89 patches which are mostly bug fixes.

Did you try to reproduce the problem on userspace branch? It seems to crash my conntest-server with udp though (see id 621).

Hi Dongsu,

thanks for the tip, at the moment I am building *patch-140, if it
doesn't work I'll downgrade to *-patch-132.
For me it is 100% reproducible - I'll have a look with gdb in hipd.

Hi,

I have already seen that problem, not with conntest-client-hip, but with
'hipconf get hi default'.

Why don't you downgrade hipl to hipl--midauth--2.6--patch-132 or
similar? If it works with patch-132, it could be related with the bug
#600 <http://hipl.hiit.fi/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=600>, although it has
been not reproducible in all cases.

Cheers,
Dongsu

Hi All,

hipd / the hip infrastructure doesn't seem to work for me with the
current hipl--midauth--2.6.

I can't use the conntest-client-hip - it stops after the message:
"Connecting to HIT 2001:18:d482:8655:673d:2562:2d08:eb74"

The conntest-client-hip hangs in the connect call.

In my own client code, the call to sendto doesn't terminate (I am
using UDP), when using a HIT, it works fine
when using the IPV6 Address.
(And a ping6 works also on the IPV6 Address)

tcpdump shows no traffic on my network devices which are supposed to
handle the hit traffic.

Anyone encountered the same problems or knows what's wrong?

Best regards in advance,
  Wolf
