Hey Diane,
I just got off the phone with the vet, and it sounds like they were able to
stabilize the box turtle's shell fracture and epoxy it back into place. They've
turned the turtle over to a wildlife rehabber, and hopefully he will make a
speedy recovery (no pun intended).
I'll keep you posted if I hear anything else!
All the best,
Grover

Hey Dianne,
Thanks for getting in touch with me. I got the turtle to Dr. Ricks office, but
not before swerving into traffic to avoid hitting ANOTHER turtle. This time a
large female river cooter (Pseudemys concinna). I got her moved across the road
and your little guy to Town and Country Animal Hospital out near Oak Grove.
I'll keep you posted on his progress. Hope we can get him patched up, feeling
better and released in your yard to court your little lady turtle :D
All the best,
Grover
