Not quite the good time you had! We added Hooded and American Redstart. Finally
able to get good looks at multiple Scarlet and Summer Tanagers and a single
Baltimore Oriole. A good close look, with pictures, of a Common Loon bathing at
the airport
BTW John, I also see the bird as a female Eastern Bluebird.

Standing in one place at Shell Mound (near the Bee Tree) we saw 1)Hooded,
2)Worm-eating, 3)Black and White, 4)Blackpoll, and 5)Black-throated green
Warblers. Nearby Teresa spotted a Prothonotary. Also several Summer and Scarlet
tanagers there and a single male Baltimore Oriole. At the East End by the fort
were several Rose-breasted Grosbeaks--Dianne said there were 7 there right
after Teresa and I left for Shell Mound. Finally at the Goat Tree spotted a
Bay-breasted Warbler.
I'm sure others who stayed Saturday night were equally rewarded. I'm eager to
hear from Larry Basden who stayed until Monday!
All in all, the count turned out far better than expected!
