Hello ESAC,
This Thursday is a march and demonstration organized by the Maine
Immigrant Rights Coalition to tell the Legislature not to cut off General
Assistance(GA) to asylum seeking immigrants and other New Mainers.
We will be joined by people and buses coming from other communities.
The march will start at Lincoln Park at 5:30 and proceed to Monument Square
for the 6 pm rally.
If the proposed legislation succeeds in passing, on July 1st, 500
households in Portland, comprised of 900 family members, will loose their
housing, food and medicine that GA supplies. And that's only Portland.
Please join in on Thursday and pass this flyer on to friends and family.

broken immigration system and wait for authorization to work. We're tired
of policies that target immigrants and hurt us all. Please stand with us!
