I doubt someone will be using that same scanner, maybe the Canon software. So if you can't find out how to turn it off, just go to the Program Files folder and look for .wav or .mp* or other audio files for it and just delete them. That "shouldn't" generate any errors. But don't delete them from the Recycle Bin yet.
