Peter I don't see any info about it or any screenshots. Can it
be made clean, streamlined and clutter-free like WMP 6.4?

I see it's in Beta, does it actually have to be "installed"
with registry and codec changes, or can it be used like that
Gabest version of WMP (Media Player Classic) which requires no
install? I'm leery of installing something Beta like a media
player due to the codec issues I've had the past.

Recently I found a great free media player that plays pretty
much
everything I have, including a couple I had forgotten about
like .mkv
videos.

Anyways it's called XBMC http://xbmc.org/ and runs on Windows,
X-Box,
Mac, and Linux. Great, plays everything and runs everywhere too
:)

Kind of a big download but quite worth it for me.
