TITLE: Google Chrome Multiple Vulnerabilities SECUNIA ADVISORY ID: SA36417 VERIFY ADVISORY: http://secunia.com/advisories/36417/ DESCRIPTION: Some vulnerabilities have been reported in Google Chrome, which can be exploited by malicious people to potentially conduct spoofing attacks, disclose sensitive information, or potentially compromise a user's system. 1) An error in the V8 JavaScript engine can be exploited to read restricted memory. This can be exploited to disclose sensitive data or potentially execute arbitrary code in the Google Chrome sandbox. 2) The browser connects to SSL servers using certificates signed with MD2 or MD4 hashing algorithms. This can be exploited to spoof valid certificates if an MD2 or MD4 collision attack is successful. 3) Multiple use-after-free errors when processing XML content can potentially be exploited to corrupt memory and execute arbitrary code in the Google Chrome sandbox. This is related to vulnerability #2 in: SA36207 SOLUTION: Update to version 2.0.172.43.
