For a few mornings this past week, my main desktop was
offline.
I had to restart the router and re-boot the computer to get
it back on line. One time I had to restart the modem.

ever since then, I can't keep my laptop online! The router
keeps rolling over to other routers - that don't have much
of a signal - or that don't even exist! my router says it
has an excellent signal. I can physically tell it to
connect. It will do that. sometimes it stays for an hour or
so and some times it immediately rolls to default (no idea
whose it is). This morning it said SFU - which, isn't in my
computer! and isn't near here! it is the university that my
daughter goes to. I did have it connected there once 2 years
ago. But - I have removed every router from the preferred
area - so that the only one remaining is my router! I went
over a few settings with my cable company - but it isn't
there router, so that is about all they would do. I've
re-booted, re-set the router - and it is very frustrating!

Not connected to that - at least I don't see how! our TV
just started to pop up the menu screen! it pops up about
once/minute! who do I call for that? the tv company? or the
cable company?

anyway - we are at our whit's end with these electronics!

Hopefully someone can help me!
My son has set my router to port forwarding because I am
trying to get online with a program called Tribal. I can't
log on to it either other than their easy (beta) mode. For a
while, after I realized that my laptop was connecting to
someone elses signal, I could put it back on mine and
connect. Now I can't even do that!

I have a Linksy's router - wireless G.
I'm pretty clueless when it comes to it!

thanks!!
Cris
