ok panic time
I went in to MSDOS and tried a system restore for the two earliest dates. BOTH
fail. Then I tried the command restore /fix and it failed citing a registry
error it could not fix.
Now I do not know what to do except reload Norton's or wipe clean the hard
drive and start afresh. Gosh I do not want to do that, lots of years of stuff
down the drain.

Anyone got any ideas?

ALSO, I am ready to try another anti virus program and have seen the
discussions in here but still need some recommendations.
