Until we began using gmail, we used first Netscape mail and then Thunderbird
for years. Thunderbird is a good mail client. The main reason we quit
using it was my inability to put our email profiles on our server and then
share them with *both* Windows and Linux. Maybe that can be done, but I
never figured it out. But we all liked Thunderbird! Does a good job with
pop mail on either Windows or Linux. You can find it at:
http://www.mozillamessaging.com/en-US/thunderbird/all.html --just scroll
down to English-US and go across to Windows.

You can make folders in the left pane of Thunderbird's window, and move mail
from the right pane into them, either one by one or by selecting several and
moving as a batch. If I recall correctly, the left click-and-drag
*copies*rather than moves, but I'm not sure about that. We still have
it installed
for one person, so if you needed help...you could email me.
