Items in RECENT DOCUMENTS are only shortcuts. They're not the actual programs or files. They can be cleared manually in XP by right-clicking on START, then PROPERTIES, START MENU tab, CUSTOMIZE, ADVANCED, and on the bottom under RECENT DOCUMENTS you select CLEAR LIST. Further, you can uncheck the option to LIST MY MOST RECENTLY OPENED DOCUMENTS, and you should never get the shortcuts in there anymore. ::: Troth ::: ______________________ ICQ: 1717439 MSN: SirTroth@xxxxxxxxxxx Yahoo IM: SirTroth AIM/AOL: SirTrothX ______________________ ::: Original Message ::: Sent Sun, 4 Jan 2004 19:27:47 EST by Poppy0206@xxxxxxx | Another question I have is if you delete a file, how is it you can stll see | it under recent documents, like a movie file or picture file? | christy | | | To unsub or change your email settings: | //www.freelists.org/webpage/pctechtalk | | To access our Archives: | http://groups.yahoo.com/group/PCTechTalk/messages/ | //www.freelists.org/archives/pctechtalk/ | | For more info: | //www.freelists.org/cgi-bin/list?list_id=pctechtalk To unsub or change your email settings: //www.freelists.org/webpage/pctechtalk To access our Archives: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/PCTechTalk/messages/ //www.freelists.org/archives/pctechtalk/ For more info: //www.freelists.org/cgi-bin/list?list_id=pctechtalk
