DJ,
The temps you're reporting ARE good. The extra noise you're hearing
when running PSP is the CPU fan speeding up to compensate for the extra
heat. That's exactly what you want it to do, but again, you might want to
look into replacing the fan with a quieter model if the noise bothers you.
Also, LEDs create such a minute amount of heat that it's basically
unmeasurable. No need to worry about those.

Again, your descriptions are spot on (an aussie phrase, if I'm not
mistaken) and it sounds like your housing for the computer is fine. I have
a full tower that barely fits inside its home in my desk, but the front &
back are wide open.

That leaves the question of bearingless fan recommendations, which I
really don't have at the moment. Each time I have a need for them, I start
my research from scratch because they are always making improvements in this
area. Last year's top dog may be in today's doghouse, if you know what I
mean. Plus, you have a lot of options if you choose to pursue them. For
instance, a fan controller unit siting in an empty optical drive bay can
give you total control over which fans are running at any given time, how
fast they're spinning, plus give you a readout of internal temps. Some even
supply extra sound, USB, Firewire, etc. ports &/or memory card readers. I
have the Sunbeam Tech 20 in 1 panel in my system (it has 2 controlers for
fans and 2 thermal probes). Just some food for thought while you research
some quieter fans. :O)

Peace,
GMan
