Re;- e-mail programs - should I blame POCO ? I have w98 and until today have exclusively used oe5 for mailing. I use 5 different isp's and 'dial-up-network' to connect to them using different phone numbers as my fancy takes me, and 7 different e-mail accounts, setup in oe5 to be paged with one click of the mouse on the 'send and receive' button as soon as I am ''on-line''. a couple of hours ago I installed POCO and the screen that came up frightened the life out of me !! when I recovered, and POCO had ceased to alter several of the user entries, I appeared to successfully page for e-mail on just one of the a/c's. I say appeared because the POCO indication when from 'page' to 'stop' then back to 'page' again with nothing to show in the window, my assumption being that there was no mail for me on the server. later when I tried oe5 NOTHING WORKED ! all 7 a/c's user data had been altered ! for safety's sake I would like use a program that does not oblige me to open my mail in order to judge it's contents, but stick with oe5 for it's convenience after previewing in some other ap. help - anybody cheers Ted To unsub or change your email settings: //www.freelists.org/webpage/pctechtalk To access our Archives: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/PCTechTalk/messages/ //www.freelists.org/archives/pctechtalk/
