Warranty, if any, may require mail in.  Some shops don't work on some brands 
due to very proprietary structure of the unit.

The Dell I metioned in an earlier message can have a one year on-site 
warranty for $59 or 3 years for $118.  With Shipping and handling you are 
still under your $900 limit even with the three year warranty and you get a 
Pentium instead of a Celeron or AMD.
