"those that are required by your particular system." how do I know which ones are required? thanks, Christine ----- Original Message ----- From: "Ricque" <ricjustice@xxxxxxxxx> To: <pctechtalk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Tuesday, July 17, 2007 7:48 PM Subject: -=PCTechTalk=- Re: computer starts up too slow Hi, No, actually you are correct msconfig, opens the system configuration utility. You should uncheck anything you absolutely don't need to load at startup. The only programs that should be running at startup, are your security applications, and those that are required by your particular system. I would recommend updating all of your security software, disconnecting from the internet, and running full security scans of your system, and full maintenance.
