I had one cleaned "ultrasonically" once -- they put it in a huge tub of
water and let it soak while the ultrasonic sound vibrations cleaned the dirt
out. Then it had to dry for about 24 hours I think -- worked fine afterwards
though.

I buy the cheap ones now though, and when they start wearing out I just buy
another one -- I go through about one a year but thats because I spend a lot
of time on it.
