I got the lower version of ZA to work..4.5..but not 5.0... ----- Original Message ----- From: Dr. Benway To: pctechtalk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Monday, June 07, 2004 8:13 AM Subject: -=PCTechTalk=- ZAlarm Speculation --- milady <kg6ocz@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> wrote: >some people are having nothing but > problems and some aren't...go figure. > ML I suspect that what is happening in Security software is what happened around '95 to WordProcessing software. It is becoming bloatware. Way way too many features, not properly integrated, and not tested in the field. I like it simple - a firewall and only a firewall product (no extras) a virus checker and only a virus checker (no extras) a spyware cleaner and only a spyware cleaner. The single life and only the single life (no extras). The problems with ZA seem to be with all the Pro extras and not the basic firewall. Those extras which include the full email scanners, spyware, and virus definitions are conflicting with other full featured security products, eg. Norton and McAfee. Da Doc interzoning again....
