There are a few things one can do to get all and or any Windows update, and it depends on one's level of enthusiasm or lack thereof. One simple solution is to install an application called BIGFIX, which is free and available from www.bigfix.com This application allows you to get all updates without going to the Microsoft Windows update site. Simple solution, because it achieves what you want re the updates but it does not identify why you had a problem or what the solution to the problem is. In other words the problem still exists. So moving from the ""placing a band aid on the sore "" situation to cover up the problem, one can actually troubleshoot. No better site is available than the site to which this link points. http://v4.windowsupdate.microsoft.com/troubleshoot/ -----Original Message----- From: pctechtalk-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:pctechtalk-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx]On Behalf Of Sylviavandewall Sent: Tuesday, September 02, 2003 11:25 AM To: pctechtalk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: -=PCTechTalk=- Re: Windows-update. --- Be it known to one and all: Although this Email and/or any and all attachments are believed, in good faith, to the best of my knowledge, to be free from any virus, worm, trojan or any other defect that might have the potential to affect any computer system into which it is received and/or opened or executed, it still remains the responsibility and onus of the recipient to ensure that it is free from any virus. As a consequence, I accept no responsibility, expressed or implied, for any loss or damage arising in any way from its use.
