I agree with this one, a driver update on my daughter's machine, WinXP Home, made it so the computer wouldn't=20 start normally. Got some kind of "driver error" message and had to boot up in safe mode and go looking through all the device drivers/properties to find out which one had the most recent date and remove it. ----- Original Message -----=20 From: "Wyatt M. XP updates have driver updates you = can download from windows update. I've found on two occasions that they can = be the wrong update or they install incorrectly. Do your driver updates = from the card vendor's website, but do the Windows and IE updates faithfully from the Windows update site. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~= ~~~ ~~~~~~~~~ On 12/21/2002 at 12:31 PM a whisper was heard, and the one known as Foxhillers@xxxxxxx was rumoured to have uttered.... | Hiya Handsome | I do Windows Update regularly on three+ systems and have | never encountered=20 | a problem.
