Hi Steve,
if you make another partition wit will not erase the hidden restore
partition.

However if something goes wrong with it (Windows7 RC)
Microsoft will not support you or help you.
It 'may' damage the way the hard drive is read though and
you may have to reinstall your original OS from your restore CD/DVD
-=-=-

I have Windows 7 RC 64 installing on a ASUS K8V-X computer I
picked up on the weekend for free I had to put in a hard drive and
1.5 gig of memory

and at the same time on My Acer Aspier 5610 with 2 gig of ram
 I'm installing Windows7 32
I started the laptop 10 min after the start of the 64 install and
it is way ahead of the desktop I expect it to finish the basic install
as I type this.

I have Win 7 64 on my new HP6730b Laptop /4 gig ram now also.

All machines have been running the appropriate Win7 Betas without problem.

Along with my AV - Avira (free) and Avant browser and
Courier 1196b Beta for email.

Cheers

don't like win7?
And what does RC stand for?

Steve
