If they really want it bad enough all they need is a search warrant. Easier when Bush was president but not much harder now. Though Obama may have more respect for attorney/client privilege. Keep client data on an external or removable drive. Encrypt the files, password protect each folder and password protect each parent folder above it. Use exceptionally strong passwords and passkeys and you might be reasonably safe. Use a secure password manager to keep track of them so you don't have to memorize a few hundred different 256 character passwords and passkeys.
