Glo: as for unwanted icons on the taskbar, right click directly on the title, where a menu will popup, move curser up towards to 'toolbar' and uncheck the toolbar you want gone from the taskbar. (If there is no title, click on the double line at the beginning (a double arrow will appear) of the toolbar will popup the menu) If it looks like a large double taskbar, point your cursor over the top edge, (a vertical double arrow will appear), hold down left mouse button and drag it down to a single taskbar. If the taskbar wont budge, restart the computer, then try dragging the taskbar down again Finally, restarting the computer will keep the taskbar in its original state. Just keep perserveering , like I did . You just have to go clickity click and see what happens. Maybe one of the Einsteins knows the solution. In trying to move it back to the bottom, she clicked on several things, one being the control panel. (??) So when I tried to drag the task bar down it went, but it's real big (like 2 inches tall) and it won't drag down smaller. Instead, it keeps adding stuff from the control panel to the task bar, making it bigger and bigger. So now most of the icons from the control panel are on her task bar and we can't get them gone! Does anyone know how to bring the task bar back to its original state? She's running W-98.
