Some people develop programs just for the fun of it. Postcardware gives them a special kind of thanks...that you liked it enough to take the time to send a postcard. Others, indeed, do collect the postcards from all over the world - stamps too. On a not so nice vein....................perhaps some companies use the addresses to send advertising to.........but I seriously doubt many do that.
