Will try that next time then--with w-98 I used to press f-1 (I think) to get
to Safe Mode.  That was quite a long time ago, but will give this a
try--maybe. --Glo

                             Hi Glo.       In Safe mode , it is the same as
if you are operating you computer normally except by passed all the stuff in
Start Up , Webshots the lot , when I Defrag and  Scandisk I wouldn't use any
other way.    This is how I do it , its easy.   I shut the computer down,
wait 1 minute , then start up, when the first typing appears, press the
Control button immediately, hold it down till you see the lettering Safe
Mode. Select   3  which is Safe mode then   Enter. (I think it is Enter ) ,
then you are in safe mode.  There are other ways but I like this way the
best, all a matter of opinion.   lol  .  Lionel.
