Troth, Thank you. I did go to Gateway?s website and print out the specs for my computer before going to the store. It was so confusing trying to figure out what type of memory I needed. I?ve just gotten conflicting information from Gateway?s tech support in the past and when the store clerk told me what I wanted to buy wouldn?t work, and in doing so lost a $160 sale, I started to second guess things. Thank you for your help, Wendy -----------------original message---------------------- From: "~OoO~" <SirTroth@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx> Date: Wed, 25 Sep 2002 12:59:01 -0400 Wendy, just remember that Gateway has the specs of your system and knows it better than your local shop (in most cases). Assuming they looked up your account and/or system serial #, they would know what you can upgrade to. Being that I've had so many Gateway systems (and even know someone who has the exact system you have) I can tell you that the upgrade is possible... assuming you didn't add anything else to it that might have taken up free IDE plugs (CD-RW, DVD, etc). ---Troth --------------------------------- Do you Yahoo!?
