I've seen these basically blank emails before. Somehow the regular mail became
corrupted into a blank. Never found the reason for them but suspect some glitch
in mail servers. (maybe these are a spam server, LOL)

Web based mail is terrible and I sympathies but all I can suggest , Drummer, is
to get an isp with pop mail. I love Mindspring/Earthlink.

my spam has been getting more and more of these - basically blank e-mails. No
subject, and no sender - not much in the body either, if I look at them under
view header in mail washer. I delete mine in mail washer, so they never come in
to my OE.(6.0) I always wonder why someone would send spam with nothing in it!!
what's their point?
can't really help you - can just sympathize - hard to believe that Comcast can't
access your e-mail to dump one that is blocking your mail box though -
I believe, that if I let these unknown senders in to my OE, that they would come
in just fine....
too bad you don't have another choice then than dial up or comcast -

Have an interesting, frustrating problem...

I use Comcast as my IP. And OEx5.0 as my mail program. Never had a problem
until Comcast decided to provide web based mail service! (A "service" which
really stinks, because you have to sign in and out of the whole mail program
every damn time you want to access each of your multiple addresses!). So I
continue to use OEx5.0, which takes in all of your mailboxes at once....

Worked fine for a long while, but in the last three-four months there's been
a problem. Every time Comcast mail gets a weird email from "Unknown Sender"
that has no subject and no message and no discernable 'from address'
properties,(that actually seems to have nothing except "Unknown Sender" on
it), OEx5.0 hangs up and terminates the connection to the mailbox! Comcast
web mail will still work, but my OEx5.0 mail program does not!

Talking to Comcast about this is useless. They want to say it is an OE
problem, and everytime I ask them but then just what is the garbage "Unknown
Sender" item stuck in Comcast mail that's doing all the damage, they say
they don't know and have no way of finding out... (They don't care to get
off their asses and look at the problem is what they really mean; which is
typical of Comcast, AFAIC...)

Anyone know of any such "Unknown Sender" problems hanging up Outlook Express
5.0? Used in conjunction with, or without, Comcast?
If it is Comcast's problem and they continue to refuse to fix it, I'm just
gonna dump them and go back to dial-up, as even that worked better as far as
my email is concerned now...

Thanx,
Greywoulf
