I go to computer A. I click on Drive F and go to the sharing tab. I
check that I want to share this directory. Then I go to computer B. I go
to Map Network Drives... The dialog comes up. There is no Drive F
available; therefore I cannot map to it. What secret am I missing?

From memory you should be able to , I shared out a whole drive to the
dude
who lives here and I am sure he mapped to the drive that I shared out.
