Both Wordperfect and Word have built in label features -- you shouldn't have
to download any additional program.

From Wordperfect, go to "Format" "Labels" and select the Avery 8160 (or
whatever other label you may want to use) from the list of pre-defined
labels. It automatically sets up the label size with built in margins for
youto print on. As long as you have your printer set up properly previous to
selecting your label format it should work just fine. I would recommend
beingin "Page View" so you can see how things fit on the labels.

From Word its actually a bit more complicated.... go to "Tools", "Envelopes
and Labels", then click on the label "picture" in the bottom right corner of
that dialogue box, and it will bring up the list of predefined sizes again.
Select the one you want, then "OK" and when you are back to the screen where
you would type in your address you can choose (bottom left) single label, or
full page of the same label (which will give you a blank page full of labels
to type onto) and you can also specify what row &column you want a single
label to print in, which is useful for printing onto a sheet where you have
already used some of the labels.

If you're still having trouble let me know -- I should be able to help you
with it -- I'm certified in both Wordperfect and Word.
