Jan: I'm not ready to blame the CD burner yet. My first question is how old are the cd's she is trying to burn and where were they kept. I had some go bad a couple of years ago because we had had some very hot weather and I stored rthem wrong. So I would pick up one new one and see what happens. Now when she does the same routine it goes through the motions but it only goes half way & pops the CD out. Well, of course she thought she had a bad CD, so she put several in & none of them get to the end before the drawer pops out with useless CD's. She has gone through 7 of them with the same results.
