no...they came up in search...the addy was too long to figure out. I just dumped em them moved em to a separate folder but had NO idea where they went..not very literate bout things like or didnt have the sense to try and trace em..there were maybe 75. Never should have tried that...won't again.. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Cris" <cris@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <pctechtalk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Thursday, September 30, 2004 11:26 AM Subject: -=PCTechTalk=- Re: Another question but....if you are deleting them, don't you know where you are deleting them from? I'm confused!! I once rounded up probably 50 files in search and then dumpted em in a separate folder. NO idea where they went, I couldn't restore when things got twisted. That's why I don't mess with leaving them on their own. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Cris" <cris@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <pctechtalk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Thursday, September 30, 2004 9:03 AM Subject: -=PCTechTalk=- Re: Another question well - you can always make a note in notepad and save it to the same folder as the files are saved. I label my folder something with the file name. I'm afraid I would empty my recycle bin. I clean my computer often. In TRASH they can be restored by rote..I tried NOT using trash and dumpted a bunch of files once and then found I was in all sorts of trouble and couln't restore any of them and had to reformat..NOT fun. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Cris" <cris@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <pctechtalk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Thursday, September 30, 2004 6:35 AM Subject: -=PCTechTalk=- Re: Another question those particular ones have to do with your windows updates. Look in add/remove and see if those particular update numbers (number KB...) are listed in add/remove programs) You can always move things to another folder temporarily until you are sure you need them or not. AND is it safe to delete them??
