For the Start menu:

   1. Open your favorite registry editor.
   2. In the left pane, navigate to the following key:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\MenuOrder\Start
      Menu\Menu.
   3. In the right pane, right click the item named Order.
   4. Click Delete.
   5. Close the registry editor.

To do the same for the Favorites menu, substitute this key and follow
the same procedure:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\MenuOrder\Favorite.

- Just found this in "WinXP News"- thought it might be of interest.
