Thanks for that lengthy email, G-Man. I took your advice and disabled = the Onboard H/W RAID function in the BIOS, but it doesn't work. As soon = as I reboot with this function disabled, the BIOS fails to see my IDE = hard drive at all, indicates boot failure and asks for a bootable CD. = When I go into the BIOS, my IDE hard drive is not even an option in the = boot order - it has disappeared.
