-=PCTechTalk=- CPU usage

Lasso (free program of the day) has been showing low memory and making
adjustments to balance things running on my computer. The last few days I
have had the screen go completely black and it can be restored by a Control,
Alt,Delete. I often find that my screensaver is not coming on and, again
CAD, starts things again. Just now the screen saver was on but when I
moused over to bring up the desktop it froze and I did the CAD. I have
never had this strange behavior before and assume something is going bad but
I don't know what. I am running Windows XP Pro with Service Pack 3. When
these freezes occur the CAD shows a sharp drop (vertical line) in the CPU
usage history. Whats going one guys????
The only change I can think of is the installation of a logitech Webcam a
few days ago.
