in WinXP

Here's a handy trick that will save you time. In Windows XP, if you are in
folder view or Explorer view, you can batch rename files with ease. No need
for another program, unless you need to your incremental number in certain
fashion.

Select the files that you want to rename by holding down the CTRL button and
left-clicking with the mouse. Once all files are selected, go of the CTRL
button and hit the F2 key. Type the name of the file that you want to use
for the series. All your files will then be renamed incrementally.

Example: You name the selected files "Test". Your first file would be named
Test, then Test(1), Test(2) and so on.

Ideas for use? How about the family vacation photos? FamVac2005,
FamVac2005(1) and so on. You get the idea, run with it.
