Not a clue as to your problem here, Re-Na, sorry, but remember with Windows
98 we could set our sound to play a single instrument or we could include
whichever instruments we wanted for a fuller sound? So, where is that in
XPhome?!  With your recent posting, I went snooping around in my control
panel and felt abandoned without such manual settings. So, like you, if the
sound quit I wouldn't have a clue where to start.
Strange that some music plays and others doesn't. I get midi files from
Carlos in Portugal and haven't had a problem with them.

My windows media player seems to work fine.
I get music from it.  I can play video clips.  I get sound.

One brother sends me from week to week an email that includes a midi song or
two.  I can click on it to get it to play, and get no sound.

I tried playing them with other programs I have, no sound.

I sent it to someone I know, she said it worked fine.  I emailed the brother
about it, he said I am the only one that has said no sound.

????

Any suggestions?
