Oh, the straight cable is the stuff to use. The router may already have 
the spare network port to connect to. Many stores offer cable in 
different lengths. Some will even make it to order. The easiest approach 
can often be to estimate the distance and get the nearest length that 
will reach, allowing for bends along the route you intend to take.. A 
little spare usually doesn't hurt.
