BlankEnclosed in the shipping package with my OptoRIte DD0401 I found an =
unidentified DVD disc. Since I am in the "practice" phase of using this =
device, I am, or will be experimenting with DDVs -R,+R, -RW and +RW. Not =
wanting to
invest in packages of all types, I would like to put this apparent =
"blank" to use.

I don't even know which is top or bottom. It will not read in the drive =
on either side. The PC acts as if the drive is empty. This disc is =
silver on one side, but more colorful on the other. Blues, reds, greens, =
yellows, etc. strongly reflect from an ordinary lamp light reflecting on =
it's surface, more so on one side.

Is there a way to determine if this is a CD [not likely, if shipped with =
a DDV drive],
DVD +,- with R or RW?

Thanks

Good advice is like good paint- it only works if applied.
