I flunked.
I took a thorium Stress EKG today and flunked, it took some nitroglycerin
under the tongue to bring me out of it. So, The Gall bladder removal for
Monday has been postponed. Instead a side trip to a Cardiologist to make
arrangements for a picture trip inside my heart and stuff. AND Two more
prescriptions. If this was to be a pleasure cruise I'd take my digital
camera and share the good stuff with all of you, but, I'll be the pitchur
maker, not the pitchur taker.
I was reading the paper that comes with the drugs from the pharmacy.
Interestingly, the Nitroglycerin (Nitroquick) has some interesting side
effects and cautions.
And I quote: (I used capital letters everywhere the paper from the
pharmacy used them)
"This MEDICINE MAY CAUSE dizziness. Drinking alcohol will worsen this
effect. Do not drive, operate machinery, or do anything else that could
be dangerous until you know how you react to this medicine. If dizziness
occurs, sit up or stand up slowly. THIS MEDICINE MAY GIVE you a headache
or cause a burning or tingling in you mouth. These effects are normal.
FOR MEN: DO NOT TAKE VIAGRA (sildenafil) WHILE USING THIS MEDICINE."
This is the part where I get quiet and everyone is allowed to make their
own joke.

PS I haven't done drugs since the 60's 'cause I find I get the same
effect just by standing up really fast
