Thank you Sam for the forecast.
It doesn't look like the event needs to be canceled.
As you said, the crowd enjoyed the Moon, Saturn and Jupiter the most
on these nights, plus, we only have 5 scopes, so if we work together to get
some great views of those three objects, we can probably still make a very
successful event.
I would suggest we go for it.
I will send this to my Arcosanti people and
see what they respond.
Sorry for the reply being later than some of you requested,
but i just got up at 1pm
and some of you know i fell last night, tripped on the roof boxes,
messed up my knee pretty bad. I'm getting around ok today,
can't do stairs the best, but I think i'll be ok. Now i just have to
make sure i can do the event.
Thanks again Sam, for the forecast, give me a moment to find out
what Arcosanti wants to do. I'm guessing it will be a GO.

The above shows no rain problems, the wind is ok for 9 out of 7 forecasts
which is ok,
but the clouds are iffy. There will be a lot of clouds but high clouds
which are usually thin, which should allow the showing of
the moon, jupiter and saturn. However, it is possible nothing else will
be visible. Last night we showed
the moon, jupiter and saturn but we also had good views of M13, M81, M82,
M3, M44, M104, and a few other objects.
I would probably go ahead with the event since the moon, jupiter and
saturn were the crowds favorite objects anyway. It is up to Terri and the
Arcosanti people. A final decision should be made by noon, if possible.
Take care, Sam
