The radar shows another storm to the NE about an hour or so out, but nothing after that. The satellite pics show we may have an hour or so of clear skies after that storm is past. Not a great night, but we might have a little viewing time

I’ll provide an updated cloud report about 8:30PM. Right now,
it’s cloudy to the northeast. However last night it cleared up

Ron, I love your words of wisdom. Did you get hit in the head by a
meteor or a flash of lightning?
I have to save your poem, it is great. Better luck tonight.Take
care, Sam

Last night I sat and looked up on high,
Hoping to see a meteor in a star filled sky.
With no moon I could see the Milky Way in full bloom,
But the clouds that formed soon sealed my doom.
The sky full of clouds soon turned my blood to ice,
Now a flash or two of lightning would have to suffice.
So tonight I will go out and certainly try once again,
Because I haven't seen a meteor in I don't know when.

10 different weather forecasts for tonight 10 am to 1 am:
29% clouds 7 mph winds 16% rain This is for the area 2
miles SSE of Carefree, at Pete's house.
With monsoon season, things are still up in the air, however I
will be going to Pete's tonight, and I expect that Don, Paul F
and Leah will also be joining us.
I will send them Pete's code to get into his gated community.
Pete also just purchased a new refractor telescope, so he will
have it out for us to look at Mars or other objects.
I suggest bringing a lounge chair, something to drink and
maybe some snacks. If you have any last minute questions
tonight, call me at

As of 9 am this morning the following are averages from 10
different weather forecasts for 10 am to 1 am tonight (Saturday)
43% clouds 5 mph wind 19 % rain
For Tomorrow night (Sunday) 10 pm to 1 am
30% clouds 6 mph winds 8% rain
Therefore i suggest tomorrow night, Sunday from 10 pm to 1 am
looks best. However with monsoons it is difficult to predict.
So far we have Pete, Paul Facuna, Don, Leah and Sam. Hope to
see everyone tomorrow ( Sunday) night at Pete's. I will do
another weather report tomorrow morning. I will also give
those who are going to Pete's house his gate code once we know
the weather is good enough to try observing the Perseids.
Take care, Sam
