and also now I know to check both the forum post and the calendar.
previously I would just check the calendar.

no problem, I just wanted to mention that there are plenty of
volunteers, in case we get more public rsvp's

Leah,
i'm working on the Star Tours agenda, so if i missed something to
do with the telescope workshop this Sunday, which is 2 days away,
it is because i haven't gotten that far yet.
If you wish to attend, i'm ok with that.
your help is always welcome.
If the RSVP list in the calendar for Sunday's event has more
teachers than i have listed, it is because i haven't updated it
yet. it isn't important to me right now, you can look that up on
the public calendar with out me listing the teachers. But the
attending students are important, so i hope to have that up to
date before 3pm today. And you know more RSVP's come in over the
weekend right up to and sometimes past the start of the telescope
workshop time.
I will update as i can.
it's not a priority right now
but thanks for bringing it to my attention.

Terri, in the forum listing you only listed yourself and
William as telescope teachers
but in the calendar listing (which doesn't list the public
rsvp's) there are 6 PAS rsvp's, actually 7 because yours
includes both you and William.
so please keep us posted about who should come. I am not
very good at collimating, but I can advise someone about the
different models of telescope. also I usually bring my books and can talk to people about what they can look at
after they get the telescope working.

Good morning PAS Members who like to help out at the
Telescope Workshops...
This Sunday we have quite a few RSVP's.

And as usual, watch the above link to know who is attending
and with what scope, and for what reason.
I will be updating this list while collecting the Agenda for
tonight's meeting, so I would suggest that on Sunday
morning, if you see 4+ people needing help, you might want
to consider attending this event.
I suggested to William (my hubby who is on the list) to
bring his scope this Sunday, and we want to be early if
possible, however, we have a plumber coming to fix a water
stream coming from my shower head that i can't turn off....
but anyway, have him bring his scope, and try to get it
collimated before the rest of the class gets there and then
put his scope right back into the car to get it out of the
way, so he can help with the group of attendees needing to
know what scope to purchase.
We will do this format, for this class. Everyone gathers at
the PAS Table. We should go over the options of what kind of
scopes are available, and then branch off so that those with
scopes get one on one help, or 2 on one, if we have enough
help this time, and keep those who need advice on purchasing
telescopes, at the PAS Table so we can take care of advice
all at one time, and go over the info one time, rather than
repeating it several times.
I appreciate everyone's help. Keep an eye on the list. Put
in your RSVP if you are attending to help out.
Also, dinner after the event is not set at any location. If
you plan to do dinner with the group, please think up some
locations you'd like to attend, preferably nothing too
expensive, so we can make a choice and i can call in an RSVP
when we get done with the Workshop.
If you wish to do dinner with the group, and you are not
attending the Workshop, drop me a phone text or email by
4:30pm so i can gather everyone's RSVP to call it in.
Have a spectacular weekend!
Hope to see you at the Telescope Workshop.
For those who don't know this: every time we have a
telescope workshop you need to go visit the forum thread for
that workshop date and see who is RSVP'd to know whether you
are needed at that event or not. How do you find the forum
thread? Go to the calendar, example for this Sunday would be
to click on the telescope workshop, then find the link in
the text within the calendar listing that goes to the forum
thread and pop on over to read what has been listed. I
usually try to get that list started by a week before the
event date, and then just update it each day as new
attendees ask to attend the event. The above link is the
forum thread for this event, i provided it, but if you were
to want to know the status of a telescope workshop, instead
of asking me directly, go to the link and then monitor the
link or check it the morning of the telescope workshop. If
there are enough teachers listed for the number of attendees
attending, then we are good. Or if there is an attendee
needing specific info that you can provide or would like to
provide, such as if you are skilled at working with a Go-to
System, etc... then we can really use your help. Thank you
all for being there! So, this Sunday morning, pop on over to
the RSVP list and see if you are needed, or if you can help
out in any way, before you make other Sunday plans.
