Good morning PAS Members,
The Music Jam is an event that is designed to have the Musician in YOU,
play music, or attend and ENJOY music with PAS Members. Since the only
RSVP's we have gotten for this event are musicians (minus Mike who is
hosting the party), the event is in serious danger of being cancelled.
Music should be enjoyed by all, and not just the musicians playing the
music.
The potluck is set for 5:30pm.
The Music begins at 7pm and in the past, has gone to 10 or 11pm.
If we do not have an audience to enjoy our music, I will be cancelling this
event. So, you need to RSVP today. The Deadline to tell me that you are
attending and would like to enjoy the music, food, socializing, etc... is
tonight, end of day.
Tomorrow morning I will call the event on or off based on the weather, and
attendance. The weather, as of last time I checked it, was good for
Saturday. Friday's rain may be an issue, but right now, Saturday looks good
to hold the Jam, which is indoors, and isn't affected by clouds, cold
breezes, etc. It may not be good weather for star gazing, but I don't see
any RSVP's from the members saying they will be bringing their telescopes.
So, i assume no one is interested in doing that.
Checking weather now for this event:
Since a wet driveway can also cancel this event, there is rain due, but it
isn't heavy rain, on Friday.
In Carefree on Friday i show high winds and rain for 4 hours. This may or
may not affect Mike's driveway, which would then maybe affect having the
Music Jam Saturday.
Then on Saturday, I see the forecast for Carefree to be No rain, Slight
Breeze and super clear skies.
So, weather wise, we just have to get a report from Mike as to if his
driveway is driveable after the rain on Friday.
*YOUR RSVP is needed *to keep this event happening. I need to know we have
musicians as well as audience members attending this event. Your deadline
to RSVP (as requested in the previous email (Options 1 - 4)- below) is

end of day*, 11:59pm.

1) First names of who is attending in your party
2) If you are playing an instrument at the Jam,
I need to know what you are playing so we can accomodate
the set up and fit everyone in the living room. No drums. Small drum
instruments are ok, like bongos. And please, if you have to plug into
electric, no loud playing. Don is bringing a mic, if anyone wants to be
vocals and heard. Otherwise, everyone is welcome to sing along and we will
bring rhythm instruments for those of you who wish to add a little extra
rhythm to our songs.
3) There will be a potluck. If you are bringing food, please list it in
your RSVP, if you have an idea of what you are bringing.
4) if there are not enough musical instruments attending to make this
event a successful Jam, we may cancel the event. So, please, if you are
attending, let me know with your RSVP or email to me. We'd like a good
attendance of people who are Jamming (making the music) and those who wish
to be the audience.

Let's make some great music together. You don't have to play well. Just
come have some fun with PAS!
This evening, Feb 24, is just past 1st Quarter Moon. It isn't great for
observing, but if you wish to come and bring your telescope, and fight the
"bright" of the Moon, you are welcome to do so. Those attending with
telescopes may park at the back of the house.
Those with instruments should pull up to the side door (the right side of
Mike's house as you go around the loop) and drop off your equipment, and
then move your vehicle to the front of the house, unless there are no
telescopes being set up.
So, when you RSVP, if you plan to bring and set up your telescope, please
let me know so everyone reading the private calendar info, knows how to
park to accommodate the attending telescopes, if any.
If this event becomes cancelled due to flooding on Friday from the storm
that is due to arrive, we will let you know by 2pm on Saturday. Please
monitor your email for this notice. No notice, and we are good to go. If
you question the weather, or the integrity of Mike's driveway (as it is not
drive-able right after heavy rain), then email back to this list serv and
someone will reply with the data you need to know.
We hope for NO Rain falling, and a great music Jam with your attendance.
