As of now, we have 15 people interested in the trip: Howard, Jen Keys,
Paul F, Richard Pipkin, Ted Blank, Terri, William, Rick, Frank I, Vera,
Pete, Don, John Kundrat, Sam, and Mike. The date of the Trip will be June
2nd, a Saturday, and we will leave the Valley early morning and come back
late at night. If people want to spend Friday or Saturday night in
Flagstaff, they may do so, but we will have times we would like people to
meet at each of the 3 venues on Saturday. Howard has pulled a rabbit out
of the hat getting us into the NPOI (Navy Precision Optical Interferometer)
at Anderson Mesa, just SE of Flagstaff. Over the last few years Homeland
Security has cancelled most public trips.
At this time, I would like the above 15 people and any other PAS members
to please reply to this email asap to let me know if you are really able to
go on June 2nd. We need to cut off the total number at 20. The above 15
will get priority since they have expressed interest. However if they want
to go, they also need to let me know asap. There will be admission fees to
get into these places. We are working on group discount rates. Take care,
